This records who you are, what work you do, where you do it, and what documentation you can produce. It is the start of a conversation about whether there is a fit — nothing more than that, and the list below says so item by item rather than burying it.
What we ask for, and what we do not
The form has 27 fields across 6 sections, of which 4 are acknowledgements rather than questions.
It does not ask for: a Social Security number, a tax ID, bank or card details, an insurance policy number, a licence number, a government ID, a password, a customer list, or a file of any kind. There is no upload control on this page, and there is no field that would accept one.
Insurance and licensing appear only as status — whether current documentation exists and can be produced on request. The documents themselves are requested and reviewed outside this form, through a separate workflow, because a static public form is the wrong place to receive them.
What we do with it
What you send here is used to assess whether there is a fit between the work you do and the projects homeowners bring to SepticOwner. It is not published, not sold, not passed to another contractor, and not used to create a public listing. It is stored with the same form backend that receives homeowner requests, under a separate form and a separate notification recipient. We cannot promise a review time, and we would rather say that than invent one.
If a conversation progresses, the review covers 39 criteria across 11 categories, of which 34 must be resolved before any market could be activated. We can tell you which ones are outstanding at any point, because the system tracks them individually rather than as an overall impression.
You can ask us to correct or delete what you sent by writing to hello@septicowner.com. That is a manual process handled by a person — there is no automated deletion workflow, and we are not going to describe one that does not exist.

Application questions
Is this a job application?
No. This is a business-to-business arrangement between SepticOwner and an independent septic contractor. There is no employment, no engagement, and no obligation on either side arising from this form.
What happens after I send it?
It is read by a person, and the work you do is compared against the projects this site produces and the markets it covers. We cannot promise when, and we are not going to invent a review time to sound organised. If there is a plausible fit, we get in touch and ask for the documentation described below.
Why does the form not ask for my licence or insurance numbers?
Because a public repository and a static form are the wrong places for them. The form records whether the documentation exists; the documents themselves are requested and reviewed separately, outside this site. If you type a policy or licence number into a free-text field here, we would have to discard it.
Does selecting a market reserve it?
No. Selecting a market records interest. It does not reserve anything, does not grant exclusivity, and does not put a market into any different state. Market activation is a separate decision with its own requirements, and an application cannot trigger it.
Will my details be published?
No. There is no public contractor profile on this site and the build fails if one is added. Your application is used to assess fit and is not published, sold, or passed to another contractor.
What if I only do one kind of work?
Say so, precisely. A pumping-only operator and an installer are different businesses with different economics, and pretending otherwise is how contractors end up receiving projects they would never take. The most useful field on this form is the one asking what you would rather not receive.
